Ayam Kampung @ Kuala Nerang
Charmaine followed grandpa & grandma to visit a friend at Kuala Nerang.
The uncle took us to the Malaysia-Thai border (near Kuala Nerang) where a new highway is in progress. The new border checkpoint will be at the north besides Padang Besar, Bukit Kayu Hitam, and Betong.
On the way back, we stopped at a kampung to get fresh supply from the farm - "Ayam Kampung".
See, so many of them.... my 1st time at kampung.

Ferry to Penang

Sand Castle Craze
We went to Damai Laut during Merdeka break mainly to build up a sand castle there.
Ivan was more daring to explore the sand while Charmaine hardly got her hands dirty at all! Talk about hygeine!
Two months later during Deepavali weekend we went there again. We managed to make a Mickey Mouse head that lasted long enough to be captured by the camera. Other images like fish, rabbit, train tracks and scribbles did not survive Ivan's nasty claws.
But we liked the underground hole best. I imagined as if I were a crab crawling in and out of the hole....
